Sullivan: Biden And Yoon To Announce "Major Deliverables" During State Visit

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has told reporters that President Biden and South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeul will announce "major deliverables" during President Yoon's state visit this week.

• Sullivan: "President Biden and President Yoon will announce major deliverables on extended deterrence on cyber cooperation, climate mitigation, other issues."
• Sullivan says Biden and Yoon have developed a rapport over since President Yoon took office stating that "economic and people to people ties will be front and center this visit."
• Sullivan: "During the Biden administration alone, just in the last 2+ years, the Republic of Korea has invested over USD$100 billion in the United States."
• Sullivan says that the White House, "acknowledges South Korea's commitment to helping Ukraine."
• Sullivan says that the summit will celebrate "what we've been able to do under President Yoon's leadership," citing Yoon's increased participation in US-Ied Indo-Pacific initiatives and NATO.
• Sullivan: "The ROK is stepping up around the world."
• Sullivan: "Yoon has also shown determination and courage in his moves to improve ties between the ROK and Japan, an issue that has long been of deep interest to President Biden."
