Support For Ukraine Ticks Up Amongst US Voters

US

According to polling data from Morning Consult, support for Ukraine has ticked up amongst US voters following a dip shortly before the midterm elections on November 8.

  • Morning Consult: "Roughly 2 in 5 U.S. voters (41%) say their government has a responsibility to protect and defend Ukraine from Russia, while 38% say it does not. There are stark partisan divisions on the question: 55% of Democrats see such an obligation to Ukraine, compared with 34% of independents and 33% of Republicans."
  • The polling data suggests that support amongst voters has returned after a period of uncertaintly when it appeared that a strong Republican performance at the midterm elections may contribute to an erosion of support for Ukraine.
