US TSY/RECAP: T-Notes went out near session highs on Monday, as the belly of the
curve outperformed in cash trade after 10-Year yields had a brief foray above
3.00%.
- U.S. Pres. Trump generated the major headline risk on the first day of the
week, as he stated that there will be an announcement re: China trade made after
the close of markets (BBG), which put a bid into Tsys into the close. There have
been no comments on the matter as of yet.
- There was little reaction to lower tier data earlier in the day.
- The short end of the Eurodollar strip outperformed the long end on Monday.
- T-Notes last 119.07+, U.S. 10-Year cash Tsy yields closed at 2.987%.
