Meanwhile, Russian state media continue to circulate reports accusing Ukraine of escalating tensions (these need to be taken with a big pinch of salt):

• Izvestia published an op-ed noting that "Ukrainian reconnaissance groups under cover of snipers are actively operating along the entire line of demarcation in the Donbas," citing contacts close to the commanders of self-proclaimed "people's republics."
