Tanker Carrying WTI to Perform STS with VLCC at Southwold

Aframax Navig8 Prestige JKM is poised to perform an STS transfer with VLCC Nissos Anafi at Southwold on the UK’s East Coast, according to Bloomberg.

  • It is laded with around 0.7m bbl of WTI, loaded in Houston on Sep. 27-29.
  • The cargo on board the ship was sold to Unipec for European delivery via the Platts MOC according to traders. This came as a surprise given Unipec has no refining assets in Europe, Bloomberg said.
  • Chinese buyers have seen a recent boost in buying of North Sea Grades too, with purchases of North Sea Forties crude at a four-month high in October.
