TD Expects NBP To Keep Rates Unchanged

  • TD rationale has been that weak GDP data and expectations of a lower August CPI number will reduce the NBP's enthusiasm to tighten rates.
  • However, since then August CPI surprised to the upside, which may have tilted the odds in favour of a cautious 25bps hike.
  • Market pricing also decreased from 50bps to 25bp over this period.
