AUSSIE BONDS: The Australian Office of Financial Management (AOFM) will today
sell A$500mn of the 2.75% 21 April 2024 Bond, issue #TB137.
- The line was last sold on 21 January 2019 for A$700mn. The sale drew an
average yield of 1.9831%, at a high yield of 1.9850% and was covered 3.7714x.
- There were 32 bidders, 16 of which were successful and 6 were allocated in
full. Amount allotted at highest yield as percentage of amount bid at that yield
was 36.7%.
- Aussie yields have been pressured in recent times, in line with global DM
yields, with worry over the global economic backdrop and inversion in the U.S.
yield curve driving broader demand for bonds. The line's yield has hit a
lifetime low as a result and last deals at 1.4488%.
- The line currently trades in line with its 3-month averages in both z-spread
and ASW terms.
- Results due at 0000GMT/1100AEDT.
