CHINA YUAN: The China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) announced that the
official yuan closing price at 16:30 local time (08:30 GMT) on Wednesday was
6.6203 against the U.S. dollar, stronger than the official closing of 6.6212 on
Tuesday. The People's Bank of China set the yuan fixing at 6.6251 against the
U.S. dollar on Wednesday, weaker than the central parity of 6.6162 on Tuesday.
The PBOC has set the fixing weaker for 12 of the past 13 trading days, with
today's parity the weakest fixing since Nov. 22.
