COMMODITIES: The dead cat bounce in the commodity complex faded Tuesday, with
WTI and Brent crude futures pulling back around 1% apiece after a recovery rally
yesterday. Oil brokers PVM write that a degree of normality has returned to
markets, but this semi-tranquil state is unlikely to last long. They continue to
recommend watching 5-dmas, which may prove troublesome resistance for for WTI,
Brent, RBOB and Gasoil. PVM write that the daily stochastics are low and trying
to turn positive, but the weekly and monthly measures are negative, signalling
that any strength in energy contracts may be short-lived.
