DOLLAR-YEN: The dollar encountered early pressure in Asia following news the US
had suspended the Tax Bill vote until 1600GMT today. Usd/Jpy touched pullback
lows of Y112.32 on react, before dip buyers cushioned falls. Rate started to
pare losses with an improving Nikkei, recovered to Y112.64 but soon faded ahead
of Europe. Topside resistance is seen at Y112.70/74 (Asia high, 55-dma), a break
opens Y112.80/81 (50% Y114.73-110.84, 50-dma). Last Y112.60.
* On The US calendar today St. Louis Federal Reserve Bank President James
Bullard will give a presentation on the U.S. Economy and MonPol at 1405GMT.
* Dallas Fed Reserve Bank President Rob Kaplan participates in a Q&A at 1430GMT
* The US Markit final Manufacturing Index will be published at 1445GMT, followed
by the ISM Manufacturing Index and construction spending at 1500GMT.
* Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank President Patrick Harker discusses
"Inclusive Economic Growth" at 1530GMT.
* Option-expiries today at Y110.00-05($1.11bn), Y111.00($830mn), Y111.90(361mn),
Y112.00($407mn), Y112.65-70($1.04bn), Y113.00($605mn), Y113.25($340mn),
Y115.00($455mn).
