The House floor debate on the impeachment of.....>

US
US: The House floor debate on the impeachment of President Trump is due to be
underway but is being delayed by the Republican minority, who are submitting
questions and resolutions to votes in order to push back the start of the
debate.
- With the Democrats holding a majority in the House, none of these votes will
pass.
- Once the questions have been voted on there will be a debate and vote on the
parameters of the impeachment debate (decided by the Rules Committee yesterday).
The vote on the parameters of the debate could be as late as 1100ET (1600GMT,
1700CET), followed by the 6 hour debate on the articles of impeachment.
- It is likely that the Republicans will continue to seek to delay the debate on
impeachment throughout the course of today, with the potential for submitting
adjournment motions during the course of the debate.
