GILT SUMMARY: The House of Commons is currently sitting and debating various
amendments that have been tabled which could see parliament wrestle control over
the Brexit process. The House will vote on the Corbyn (A), SNP (O), Cooper (B),
Grieve (B), Spelman (I) and Brady (N) amendments.
- So far gilts have been unperturbed by the fraught wrangling of divided
factions in parliament. Current yield levels 2-year 0.7699%, 10-year 1.269%,
30-year 1.748%.
- The curve has steepened only slightly since mid-morning with 2s30s trading up
to 96.4bps from a low of 95.5bps.
- The Mar-19 gilt future trades at 123.12 in the middle of the day's range.
- Short sterling futures are broadly 0.5-2.0 ticks higher.
