STOCKS: The major Asia-Pac equity metrics continue to struggle for any notable
upward momentum after a plethora of issues pressured the space on Monday.
- Worries around the scale of the upcoming round of Chinese IPOs coupled with
market pricing surrounding the Fed's July meeting have kept the region on the
defensive on Tuesday.
- The uptick in USD/JPY evident over the last 24 hours or so has provided some
light support for the Nikkei 225.
- Major newswires running headlines from Carrie Lam, leader of Hong Kong, noting
that the extradition bill "is dead," provided a short break in the Hang Seng's
intra day sell off, although the paring of losses was short lived.
- Nikkei 225 +0.2%, Hang Seng -0.7%, CSI 300 -0.3%, ASX 200 -0.3%.
- S&P 500 futures -7, DJIA futures -60, NASDAQ 100 futures -22.
