EGBS: There has been a good performance by Irish debt today and likely linked to
a large E6.2bln redemption. Ryan McGrath at Cantors in Dublin assessed that the
ECB might hold "between 750 million to 1.625 billion" of this redeeming issue.
- Furthermore, he notes that the ECB conducts reinvestments in a flexible manner
in the month the redemptions take place or following months, if needed. "From
this we can conclude that some level of reinvestment has already occurred and
given the liquidity constraints in the Irish market, further reinvestments are
likely to occur for the remainder of the year"
