US TSYS
US TSYS: There was nothing in the way of notable mkt reaction to the U.S. House
of Reps voting to impeach Pres Trump on abuse of power & obstruction of
Congress. The impeachment was exp. as the House is under Democrat control. Exp.
are that the Republican Senate will block the removal of the President in early
'20. T-Notes edged a touch higher in the wake of the votes, but stuck to a tight
0-05+ tick range overnight, edging modestly lower in the last few minutes on a
BBG headline noting that "China issues a new list for tariff exemptions," per
Xinhua. The exemptions will be applied to 6 different products, and are only in
play for 1 year, through next Christmas, so don't appear to be a huge game
changer at first glance, but are incrementally positive. T-Notes +0-02 at
128-07+, yields marginally mixed, after early, light bull flattening.
- On the flow side TYG0 129.50/127.00 risk reversal saw paper buy the puts to
sell the calls, for over 12.0K. There was also ~10.0K of the TYGO 127.00 puts
lifted on screen, over a couple of clips. TYF0 128.50 calls saw 5.0K given.
- Eurodlr futs -0.5 to +1.0 tick reds. EDH0 is the only contract underwater,
with previously highlighted selling flow leading to underperformance.
