USDJPY continues to strengthen and has pressed through 110.80 resistance Monday, Aug 11 high. The break of this hurdle strengthens a bullish case and paves the way for a climb towards 111.66, Jul 2 high and bull trigger. Clearance of 111.66 would confirm a resumption of the current broader bull cycle that started Jan 6. Key short-term support is unchanged at 109.11, Aug 16 / Sep 15 low. Initial firm support is at 109.89, the 50-day EMA.
