JGB futures added 6 ticks in the final overnight session of last week, largely tracking broader sentiment/U.S. Tsy markets.

  • Questions continue to swirl re: the health of Japanese PM Abe.
  • Elsewhere, BBG touted a Nikkei report which noted that MUFJ will issue as much as Y150bn worth of corporate bonds for individual investors by the middle of next month. BBG noted that "funds from the issuance will be used for loans to small and mid-sized companies struggling with falling sales due to the pandemic, and to hospitals and pharmaceutical companies. Mitsubishi UFJ said it will be the first bank to issue coronavirus bonds for individual investors, the paper reported."
