Transatlantic Diesel Shipping Costs Rise

The diesel shipping cost from the US Gulf Coast to Europe has more than doubled in less than three weeks driven by an increase in exports as refiners return from seasonal maintenance according to Bloomberg.

  • Transatlantic clean freight rate has increased to WS 275.36 from WS 129.29 three weeks ago according to Baltic Exchange data.
  • US Gulf diesel exports to Europe could reach a four-month high up to 231kb/d so far this month compared to 92kb/d last November according to Kpler incentivized by US Gulf Coast spot market discounts.
