US TSYS SUMMARY: Treasuries are a little softer in thin trading early Wednesday,
little news of note; mainly taking their cue from European govvies.
- The 2-Yr yield is up 0.6bps at 1.5879%, 5-Yr is down 0.1bps at 1.5947%, 10-Yr
is up 0.5bps at 1.7465%, and 30-Yr is up 0.3bps at 2.1824%. 10-Yr futures (TY)
down 2.5/32 at 129-19.5, tight range (L: 129-18 / H: 129-22).
- With the countdown to the Thanksgiving holiday firmly on, we get a slew of
data through the U.S. morning. The highlights:
- 0830ET: jobless claims, Oct durable goods, 2nd reading of Q3 GDP
- 0945ET: MNI Chicago PMI; 1000ET: Oct personal income/PCE
- 1130ET: $32bln 7-Yr note auction; 1400ET: Fed Beige Book
- Fed`s Brainard comments Tues had little new on current MonPol but interesting
that she advocated flexible inflation averaging and yield curve control in event
(inevitability?) of another episode at the zero lower bound of nominal rates.
