US TSYS SUMMARY: Tsys are off early lows but have been drifting since about
0400ET amid thin volumes, with minimal little newsflow or data Monday.
- Sep 10-Yr futures (TY) down 4/32 at 126-31.5 (L: 126-27 / H: 127-02.5). Little
flow of note overnight (note the Japanese holiday today though).
- Curve fairly steady: 2-Yr yield is down 0.4bps at 1.8433%, 5-Yr is unchanged
at 1.8709%, 10-Yr is down 0bps at 2.1218%, and 30-Yr is up 0.6bps at 2.6526%.
- ED strip edging lower, but only move of any note is Golds off 1.5-2.5 ticks.
- NBC reported earlier that Pres Trump may oust Commerce Secretary Ross over a
legal defeat to include a citizenship question on the Census. No market reac.
- No shortage of Fedspeak as we head into the blackout period. Today`s highlight
is NY Fed`s Williams (but topic is Libor so maybe nothing on current monpol).
- Other 2019 FOMC voters due up this week include Bowman, Powell and Evans on
Tuesday; Williams returns Thursday, while Friday sees Bullard and Rosengren.
- Slow start to the week data-wise with just Empire State index out Monday.
Tuesday is the highlight, with June retail sales and Industrial Production
headlining the docket. Weds sees Jun Housing Starts and Fed`s Beige Book.
