TTF Front Season Falls While Sum24 and Win24 Supported

NATURAL GAS

TTF front season prices have fallen significantly over the last couple of months with front month down nearly 50% in the last month. The warm weather into the start of November and efforts by EU members to reduce demand have helped bring prices down from the August peak.

  • Despite the fall at the front of the curve the Sum 24 and Win24 contracts are unchanged in the same time period. EU are aiming to increase import regas capacity over the coming year or so to help cover for missing Russia gas but could be restricted by limited global supplies. Global competition for cargoes will remain tight until into 2025 and beyond when significant global liquefaction capacity increases from projects in US and Qatar.
    • TTF NOV 22 up 0.8% at 100.61€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 23 down -2.5% at 135.2€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 23 down -2.5% at 132.95€/MWh
    • TTF SUM 24 down -2.8% at 94.4€/MWh
    • TTF WIN 24 down -3.2% at 93.48€/MWh
