  • Turkey Bolsters special ops divisions at the border to block Afghan refugees at the Iranian border – using drones and armed vehicles to keep night time crossings under control
  • Erodgan, when mentioning FX reserves will rise to $115.4bn from $109bn, omits that this is due to the IMF's SDR facility, which is providing turkey with $6.4bn as part of its $650bn global injection of funds. This should reflect in Turkey's reserves in the coming weeks
  • Turkey expects to be removed from the UK's travel red list following a comment from the Turkish embassy in London, having been redlisted since May.
    • This should provide a boon for tourism in Turkey, but comes towards the end of the season. Turkey reported 19,970 covid-19 cases & 217 deaths yesterday
