UK PM Records Lowest Global Approval Rating

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson retains his position as the global leader with the lowest approval rating according to Morning Consult's latest tracker. Just 30% of respondents approve of Johnson's leadership, down from 34% one month ago. Indian PM Narendra Modi holds onto his position at the top, with an approval rating of 72%.

  • As well as Johnson, the presidents of France and Brazil, Emmanuel Macron and Jair Bolsonaro respectively, both hold low approval ratings. With both of these leaders facing elections in 2022, they both face difficult campaigns if they cannot record a boost in their approval in the months ahead.
