Ukraine Ends Duties on Power Equipment Imports

The Ukrainian parliament has decided to cease import duties on energy equipment amid a severe drop in power plant capacity in the country, while a surging heatwave has led to power consumer cuts, it said cited by XM.

  • The country ended the customs duties and VAT attached to imported equipment for power generators, wind and solar generation.
  • Russia has destroyed around 9GW of Ukraine’s power generation capacity since the start of March.
