Ukraine Increase Druzhba Transit Fee For Next Year

Ukraine will increase the transit fees for Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline to eastern Europe from the start of next year due to increasing costs from electricity shortages and facility protection.

  • Ukrtransnafta, the operator of Ukraine’s oil pipeline network, informed Transneft that “continued destruction of the Ukrainian energy infrastructure has led to a significant shortage of electricity, an increase in its costs, a shortage of fuel, spare parts,” according to Bloomberg.
  • The tariff for transporting crude to Hungary and Slovakia will increase by 2.1€/t to 13.6€/t from Jan 1. The transit fee annual increase will be 51% after a previous rise in April earlier this year.
