Ukraine Power Imports to Rise to above 18GWh on Wednesday

Ukrainian power imports from EU countries could reach as high as 18.82GWh on Wednesday, with no plans to reduce electricity supplies and lower import capacity, Ukrainian TSO Ukrenergo said, cited by XM.

  • Ukraine will import electricity from Romania, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Moldova.
  • Power import capacity will be kept at the maximum technical level of 1.7GWh.
  • The country is currently in talks with the EU to increase the import capacity as result of around 8GWh of generation capacity coming offline due to Russian missile attacks in March.
