US Crude Stocks Seen Down 1.2m bbl: WSJ Survey

US crude oil inventories likely fell by 1.2m bbl in the week to March 15, according to a WSJ survey of eight analysts and traders, cited by Dow Jones.

  • Six respondents expected a decline, while two expected an increase.
  • Responses ranged from -3m bbl to +1m bbl
  • For gasoline inventories, the average estimate was a draw of 2.1m bbl, with responses: -4.1m bbl to -0.7m bbl.
  • For distillates, the average estimate was a draw of 1.2m bbl, with responses ranging from: -5.4m bbl to +1.7m bbl.
  • The EIA will release the data at 10:30 ET March 20.
