US LNG exports are more profitable to Asia for each month through to February, according to BNEF

  • US LNG netbacks to Asia in October are $9.67/MMBtu, compared to $9.51/MMBtu for Europe.
  • In November, Asia earns a netback of $11.94/MMBtu, while Europe lags at $11.76/MMBtu.
  • Meanwhile, December netbacks are $12.90/MMBtu to Asia compared to $12.64/MMBtu to Europe.
  • The JKM-TTF Sep 23 spread is down -0.2$/MMBtu at 1.29$/MMBtu.
  • LNG prices remain buoyed by threats of strike action at Chevron facilities in Australia, which could hamper up to 5% of global supply. This would have a direct impact on supply into Asian markets.
