POLAND

U.S. President Joe Biden's upcoming trip to Poland will not be "just a courtesy visit," Polish President Andrzej Duda's foreign policy aide said, suggesting that the POTUS will arrive with a "concrete plan and concrete message."

  • Przydacz told TVN24 that Poland is asking the U.S. for an increased presence of its troops and materiel on the east flank of NATO, as well as for the facilitation of the purchase of "the most modern" U.S. military equipment by Poland.

  • Przydacz refused to speculate on the details of any potential new commitments from the U.S. President as negotiations are ongoing. He also refused to clarify if Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky would come for an in-person summit with Polish and U.S. leaders.
