Gas output in the seven US shale basins is forecast to fall by 0.2bcf/d to 99.025bcf/d in January according to the EIA drilling productivity report released yesterday.

  • EIA has revised the December shale gas forecast down from 99.638bcf/d to 99.225bcf/d.
  • Monthly changes per region in mmcf/d are:
  • Appalachia -135 to 35.630 bcf/d
  • Permian +130 to 24.363 bcf/d
  • Haynesville -122 to 16.385 bcf/d
  • Eagle Ford -41 to 7.126 bcf/d
  • Anadarko -45 to 6.704 bcf/d
  • Niobrara unchanged at 5.338 bcf/d
  • Bakken +13 to 3.479 bcf/d
