US Shale Oil Output to Fall to 9.692bcf/d in Jan: EIA

Oil output in the major US shale oil basins is forecast to fall by 1kbpd to 9.692mbpd in January according to the EIA drilling productivity report released yesterday.

  • The December output forecast was revised up from 9.653mbpd to 9.693mbpd
  • Monthly changes per region are:
  • Permian +5k to 5.986mbpd
  • Bakken +2k to 1.308mbpd
  • Eagle Ford -2k to 1.149mbpd
  • Niobrara -1k to 0.690mbpd
  • Anadarko -3k to 0.389mbpd
  • Appalachia -2k to 0.138mbpd
  • Haynesville unchanged at 0.032mbpd
