DOLLAR-CANADA: USD/CAD edged higher in the Asia-Pac session and trades at
C$1.3126 last.
- The bid in the pair came on the back of broader pressure on the
commodity-linked FX space caused by softer than exp. Australian core CPI data &
slowing official Chinese PMI readings.
- Bulls remain focused on the Oct 26 high of C$1.3147 before targeting the Sep
11/10 highs at C$1.3175/98. Bears look for a break below yesterday's low of
C$1.3101 in search of a broader reversal pattern.
- This week's docket involves the release of Canadian GDP today and labour mkt
data on Friday. Elsewhere, BoC's Poloz & Wilkins will testify before a Senate
Committee today, while BoC's Schembri & Lane are due to speak tomorrow.
