DOLLAR-YEN
DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY last deals at Y111.46, near yesterday's closing levels, with
the Nikkei 225 futures pointing to a higher open.
- The rate dropped 25 pips yesterday, with uncertainties surrounding the next
steps in Sino-U.S. trade talks and the Nikkei 225's retreat aiding JPY, against
the backdrop of the broader dollar weakness.
- Consolidation below the 200-DMA at Y111.50 would bring the 21-DMA at Y111.10
into play. Bulls look to clear Friday's post-jobs data high at Y111.82 to open a
move toward Y112.00.
- Japanese focus turns to domestic PPI, core machine orders & comments from BoJ
Gov Kuroda, all due Wednesday.
