DOLLAR-YEN: USD/JPY was capped at Y110.00 during Wednesday's trade but
underlying tone keeps that level under pressure Thursday, but seen meeting
headwind resistance. Traders aware that the Y110.00 level holds the strike of
expiring options at today's NY cut, total value $1.87bln, $1.41bln of which are
USD calls. A break and clear of the Y110.00 area to expose the Jan14 YTD high of
Y110.21. Support remains from Y109.80, strengthening toward the 200-wma at
Y109.70.
