US NATGAS: Waha Rising on Day

The Waha gas hub in Texas is up by 22 cents/MMBtu today, according to NGI. End user demand is higher, while Permian production is largely stable.

  • End user demand in the US Gulf is up 1.95 bcf/d to 22.2 bcf/d, up 3.81 bcf/d on the 30-day average.
  • Exports to Mexico from the US Gulf are also stronger at 5.79 bcf/d, compared to 5.61 bcf/d yesterday.
  • Net gas outflows from Texas to other states outside the US Gulf are weaker at 6.47 bcf/d, a 260 mcf/d decline.
  • The main changes in pipeline flows are on NGPL Texas-Arkansas line, down 280 mcf/d.
  • Permian output is up marginally by 0.15% to 20.1 bcf/d. The 30-day moving average is 19.94 bcf/d.
  • Overall dry gas production in Texas is 450 mcf/d lower day-on-day at 29.01 bcf/d.
