JGBS: Wednesday proved to be a very contained day for JGB futures, with a
pullback in the Nikkei 225, after a positive start, lending some modest support.
- The BoJ left the size of its 5-10 Year Rinban operations unchanged. Offer to
cover ratio as follows: 3.34x (prev 2.76x).
- Futures stuck to a tight range, before edging a touch higher overnight.
- Yields across the curve finished Wednesday close to unchanged.
- Focus Thursday turns to the BoJ Rinban plans for February, a speech from BoJ's
Amamiya and accounts from the BoJ's Jan MonPol decision. There will also be a
2-Year auction.
