Yields Dip Again On FT Report On Credit Suisse

Once again, ECB March hike pricing has dipped just below 30bp with 2Y German yields back near session lows (off 45bp on the day at 2.442%) as the FT reports Credit Suisse today asked the SNB for a "public show of support". A subsequent Bloomberg headline reported that the SNB declined to comment on Credit Suisse.

  • An interesting ECB side-note in that article: FT sources report the ECB asked EU lenders to disclose their exposures to Credit Suisse.
  • Meanwhile according to the FT, the ECB "debated the pros and cons of making a public statement to try and calm the waters, but decided against doing so for fear of it backfiring and causing more market panic".
