1GW Lithuania-Poland Power Link to Curtail Capacity

Transmission capacity on the 1GW Litpol interconnector between Poland-Lithuania will be curtailed by around 160MW on 21 May due to maintenance, latest Remit data show.

  • Works on the interconnector will begin on 21 May at 00:00 CET, with the capacity lowered by 158MW until 23:59 CET on the same day. Most of the capacity will be reduced in the Lithuanian-Polish direction.
  • Poland has been a net exporter to Lithuania so far in May at an average of 117MW, sharply up from net exports of 10MW in April, data from Entso-E show. This is the highest amount of net exports since February.
