2.50% Jan-33 DSL

  • The DSTA will come to the market this morning with E1.5-2.5bln of the 2.50% Jan-33 DSL on offer.
  • The DSL was originally issued in 2012 as the 20-year benchmark and has not been sold via auction for five years.
  • The closest comparable recent sale has been the syndicated launch of the new 10-year benchmark, the 0% Jul-31 DSL last month. E5.99bln was sold from books of E26.4bln at a yield of -0.32%.
  • Despite the fixed income sell-off over the past couple of months, yields on the 2.50% Jan-33 DSL have continued to trade in negative territory.
  • On an RV basis, the 2.50% Jan-33 DSL has seen the spread continue to widen vs the 0% Jul-31 DSL since the latter's launch. Yesterday the spread closed at 4.7bp but has come in a bit at the time of writing to around 4.1bp.
  • Timing: Results will be available shortly after the auction closes at 9:00GMT/10:00CET.
