TAIWAN

Taiwan sells TWD 35bn of 20-year bonds:

  • Yield: 0.450% (prev. 0.509%)
  • Bid/Cover: 1.43 (prev. 2.16)
  • A record low yield at the 20-year auction, but not quite as low as the 0.399% expected by analysts. Bigger auction size (previous TWD 30bn) and richness of the issue has compressed demand. Some selling seen in the long end, 30-year yield up 6bps at 0.382%.
