FOREX: A light session in NY today with minimal flow or volume going through,
however the dollar continued its buoyant tone of last week.
Aussie slipped a little following pressure on commodities through out the
session with the pair making a brief show under $0.7800, printing session lows
of $0.7796, the pair traded in a narrow range throughout the NY session trading
between $0.7796-0.7818.
Dollar-yen continued its theme of being led by US Tsys yields throughout the
majority of the session. New York had very little reaction to Prime Monsters Abe
re-election with the rate trading in a narrow range of Y113.61-113.94. However
for the majority of the session the rate bounced between Y113.65-75.
Concerns over Catalan combined with a buoyant dollar tone and President Trump
saying he is "very, very close to announcing next Fed chair" witnessed the rate
print a session low of $1.1725, where for the majority the pair hovered close to
the lows.
