LNG

The EU regulator ACER launched the new benchmark for European LNG on Friday with the aim to provide greater cost transparency and help shield the LNG market from significant price swings. It is yet unclear the extent to which traders will use the new benchmark.

  • The unified LNG price for the EU was assessed at 38.27€/MWh on Friday and at a discount of 9.57€/MWh to front month TTF.
