GERMAN PRESS: Ahead of tomorrow's European Council summit, reports state that a
'senior Germen gov't official' has said that Germany is willing to make a
'special solidarity contribution' to the EU budget/recovery fund, but that it
will not pay all of the bloc's bills. 
- German officials this week have been keen to stress their continued support
for the Merkel-Macron recovery fund plan that totals EUR500bn, rather than the
EUR750bn proposed by the Commission.
