Angola to Maintain 1.1m b/d Crude Output to 2024

Angola is likely to maintain its current crude oil production of 1.1m b/d through to 2024, a Reuters said citing an Angolan government official.

  • Output will remain stable despite the African nation looking to stabilise declining output from mature fields, Reuters said.
  • Output has been declining in Angola since peaking at 2m b/d in 2008.
  • Angola is now expanding more into gas to balance the falling oil production and is considering commissioning a second LNG train to boost exports.
