GILTS: Anne Karina Asbjorn and Andy Chaytor, rates strategists at Nomura comment
on the latest Gilt issuance calendar for the third quarter of FY2017/18 and note
that there is a "lack of supply of ultras", which could see the "risk of a
squeeze" in that part of the sector "later in the quarter".
- They also note that the estimated DV01 issuance for Q3 will drop and be less
than Germany "which is rare".
- They also see the medium-bucket of Gilts benefiting from the re-investment of
Stg10.1bln over the next 3-weeks and expect "non-residents to become the
marginal determinant of Gilt pricing under the APP and this should support sub
7-yr".
