STOCKS: Asian stocks are recovering from yesterday's weakness, with the notable
exception of China, where the Hang Seng is down 1% on the day led by the IT
sector. The index is within touching distance of its August 2 lows. Mainland
Chinese stocks are not faring much better with the CSI 300 down 0.7% and
threatening to resume its broad downtrend.
- in contrast, the Nikkei is up 1.2% with every sector in the green as the index
looks to close the gap left by yesterday's drop.
- Aussie stocks are also rallying, with the ASX200 up 0.7% testing multi-year
