AUD/EUR: Highest Since Late March

AUD

AUD/EUR has printed its highest level since late March, post RBA gains were extended yesterday as ECB Consumer Inflation expectations eased in April.

  • The pair rose ~1% and broke resistance at €0.6230 (high from Apr 3), we last print at €0.6240/45.
  • On the upside the high from March 15 (€0.6307) is the next target for bulls, from here they can target the 200-Day EMA (€0.6325).
  • Bears first target a break of the €0.62 handle which opens the 20-Day EMA (€0.6141).
  • RBA Gov. Lowe speaks shortly, and Deputy Gov Bullock also crosses after. Q1 GDP from Australia is also due, a rise of 0.3% Q/Q is expected.
