AUD/JPY: Pressured On Thursday; Falls Below 20-Day EMA

AUD/JPY fell ~1% yesterday as a firmer than forecast US CPI print weighed on risk sentiment. The cross breached the 20-Day EMA which intersects at the ¥95 handle

  • In early dealing on Friday we sit at ¥94.60/65 little changed from yesterday's closing levels.
  • Despite yesterday's fall the uptrend remains intact. Bulls look to break above the 20-Day EMA, this opens high from 12 Oct (¥95.82) and the high from 29 Sep (¥96.92).
  • On the downside, bears look to target a move below the ¥94 handle which opens the 200-Day EMA (¥93.28) and the low from 28 July (¥91.80).
