AUD/JPY: ¥95 Handle Remains Intact

AUD/JPY firmer yesterday printing its highest level since late August as firmer commodity prices and improving risk sentiment after China's RRR cut supported the pair. Gains were capped after the ¥95 handle remained intact.

  • The pair last prints at ¥94.90/95, after rising ~0.3% on Thursday.
  • Technically we remain in an uptrend, bulls immediate focus is on the high from 30 Aug (¥95.06), a break through here opens the high from 26 July (¥95.90) and YTD highs (¥97.68).
  • On the downside bears look to break the 20-Day EMA (¥94.39). A break through here opens the low from 5 Sep at ¥93.59 and the 200-Day EMA (¥92.80).
