AUSSIE
AUSSIE: AUD/USD last seen at $0.6874, 8 pips worse off on the day and above the
session's worst levels. The rate edged lower overnight weighed on by the
Sino-U.S. trade conflict.
- Australian flash PMI readings from CBA indicated that expansion in
manufacturing and services sectors accelerated in May. M'fing PMI printed at
51.1, services PMI came in at 52.3 & composite PMI was at 52.2 vs the prior
50.9, 50.1 & 50.1 respectively.
- A break below $0.6865-67, which provided a layer of technical support on May
17, May 21 and today, would expose the 0.6825/40 area which registered a series
of previous lows through Jan 2016. Bulls need to clear the psychological $0.6900
level before turning focus to the downtrend resistance at $0.6918.
